# Nzelha

> Free online video and music downloader. Paste a link from YouTube, TikTok, SoundCloud, Dailymotion and more, or search by name, then pick the quality or MP3 and save it. Whole playlists too. Also an Android app.

Nzelha is free and needs no account. The website works in English, Arabic and Urdu; add `?lang=ar` or `?lang=ur` to
any page address. The newest Android release is version 1.0.12 (29.1 MB): https://nzelha.pages.dev/download

Nzelha is for content the person owns or has permission to download. Respect each site's Terms of Service.

## Links to hand to a person

Downloads run in the person's browser, which saves the file, so send them a link instead of downloading for them:

- `https://nzelha.pages.dev/?q=<words>`: searches YouTube, SoundCloud and Dailymotion for those words.

Links from YouTube, TikTok, SoundCloud, Dailymotion, Instagram, Facebook, X and many other sites work. Instagram,
Facebook and X searches can't be shown in the page: find the video there, copy its link and use `?url=`.

## API (read-only, JSON)

- `GET https://nzelha.pages.dev/latest.json`: the newest Android release, `{versionCode, versionName, apk, size, notes, published}`, or 404 before the first one.
- `GET https://nzelha.pages.dev/api/search?source=youtube|soundcloud|dailymotion&q=<words>`: `{results: [{url, title, uploader, thumbnail, duration, views}]}`.
- `GET https://nzelha.pages.dev/api/info?url=<link>`: a link's title, formats and sizes, or a playlist's videos.
- `GET https://nzelha.pages.dev/api/ping`: `{"ok": true}` when the download server is up.

The downloader runs on one small free server that handles one heavy task at a time, so please be gentle: it answers
429 after too many requests from one visitor and 503 while it starts up or is busy (try again in a minute).
Downloads themselves can only be started from Nzelha's own page.
